The bees are back! We’re auditioning for singers, actors, and dancers, for Swarm Fever, at the Memorial Hall, Newport, Pembs, from 10 am to 1pm on 23 July 2011.
Under the musical direction of international concert pianist Samuel Fernandez, the show will be toured in spring 2012 at the following venues:
Tregwynt Mansion, near Fishguard—February 11
Theatr Gwaun Fishguard—April 20
Small World Theatre, Cardigan—April 27
Dylan Thomas Theatre, Swansea—April 28
Torch Studio, Milford Haven—May 19
There are lead roles for two sopranos, a contralto, and a tenor; as many chorus members as can be crammed onto a stage; and some very interesting acting parts for non-singers. Check out the pictures of the previous production in the Swarm Fever link at www.fishguardartssociety.org.uk but don’t worry, this time the costumes will be more chic.
If anyone has a real problem getting to Newport on audition day, contact Alex Barr on 01348 840309 or 07769 944198 or alexmcclure@btinternet.com. Community Theatre Company has child protection and equal opportunities policies.
The production has financial support from the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust and Milford Haven Port Authority, and the Welsh Beekeepers’ Association supports our aim of raising awareness of the fascinating life of the honey bee. Any offers of sponsorship or materials for sets and costumes will be gratefully received.
